While 224 persons returned to Odisha on November 28, 156 persons arrived in the state on November 29, said state Public Health director Nirnajan Mishra.
The daily rise in the number of new coronavirus cases has been below 20,000 for 54 straight days and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 156 consecutive days now.
The man, a Merchant Navy engineer, arrived in Dombivli town of Thane district on November 24 after travelling from South Africa, Dubai and Delhi.
As per the health ministry, the country has so far conducted over 62.57 crore total COVID-19 tests.
The daily rise in new coronavirus infections has been below 20,000 for 32 straight days and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 135 consecutive days now.
A decrease of 2,019 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
As per the ministry, India's active caseload stands at 1,58,817 which is the lowest in 248 days. The active cases account for less than 1 per cent of total cases.
With 15,951 recoveries in the last 24 hours, India's recovery rate stands at 98.19 per cent, which is the highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry on Monday informed that India reported 18,166 fresh COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, the lowest in over 7 months.
According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, the country saw a total of 28,246 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 97.85 per cent.

India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16.
