The Union Health Ministry on Sunday said India's vaccination programme against COVID-19 has been one of the most successful and largest in the world.
The active cases have declined to 75,456 comprising 0.22 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.40 per cent.

While 224 persons returned to Odisha on November 28, 156 persons arrived in the state on November 29, said state Public Health director Nirnajan Mishra.

With 15,951 recoveries in the last 24 hours, India's recovery rate stands at 98.19 per cent, which is the highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry on Monday informed that India reported 18,166 fresh COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, the lowest in over 7 months.
According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, the country saw a total of 28,246 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 97.85 per cent.

Kerala reported 24,296 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the second time it has crossed the 24,000 mark after May 26 when the state had recorded 28,798 cases. On May 27, the state had recorded 24,166 fresh COVID-19 cases.
According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, the country saw a total of 36,347 discharges in the last 24 hours.
