COVID-19: The active cases comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate increased to 98.78 per cent, the Union Health Ministry said.
Dr Neeraj Gupta, a senior pulmonologist and additional medical superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital, however, stressed that vulnerable people such as the elderly and those having co-morbidities will still require similar precautions as needed for other infections such as influenza and pneumonia.
