Congress MLA Hiraman Khoskar has not been active in the party since the Rajya Sabha elections. He was suspected of cross-voting against the party. The Maharashtra Assembly election is set to take place in the next few weeks.
Two other Congress leaders had also recently resigned as MLAs in the state, where elections are due early next year.
Earlier, TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee said the party will explore political opportunities outside West Bengal and will enter the poll scene in Goa in the coming days.
