As per officials, the seizure is suspected to be linked with the earlier recovery of 562 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs 5,000 crore from southwest Delhi's Mahipalpur.
The Enforcement Directorate is set to investigate a Rs 5,000 crore cocaine trafficking case following a major drug bust by Delhi Police, which seized over 560 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana.
BJP alleged that the kingpin in the Rs 5,600 crore cocaine seizure case, Tushar Goyal, arrested by Delhi Police on Wednesday, was appointed by Rahul Gandhi as the Delhi Youth Congress RTI Cell chief, and he had links with top Haryana Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda's family.
The latest seizure marks the second such action by DRI in the span of one week, emphasising the agency's unwavering commitment to combat the drug menace and uphold law and order.
The DRI had also arrested a woman from Cote d'Ivoire in Africa at the Mumbai international airport allegedly with 1.273 kilograms of cocaine worth Rs 13 crore.
The passenger has been arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
Delhi news: A senior DRI officer said that the accused arrived at IGI from Nairobi on August 22 (Tuesday).
The discovery of the white powder caused the White House to evacuate at 8:45 pm (US time) on Sunday, while President Joe Biden was at Camp David. Fire and emergency crews brought in to do a rapid test of the substance identified it as cocaine.
The accused was arrested and the whiskey bottles containing cocaine were seized.
Delhi airport: DRI said that the consignment had arrived in two boxes from Sao Paulo of Brazil, and was declared to contain a decorative object.

Mumbai: Two Nigerian nationals were held at Mumbai airport trying to smuggle in cocaine worth Rs 30 crore hidden in their stomach.
The official said that during the investigation man broke down and told the officials that a woman was forcing him to do all this.
A probe revealed the drug was sourced from a hotel in the Masjid Bandar area of Mumbai and in an immediate follow-up action, two Ethiopian nationals, who had allegedly given the trolley bag to the woman, were apprehended on October 14, the official said.
This cocaine was getting imported in the name of same importer who was earlier arrested by DRI in case of seizure of 198 kg meth and 9Kg cocaine from the consignment of oranges originating from South Africa, earlier this month, in Vashi.
Mumbai customs recovers cocaine capsules: The passenger was intercepted at the Mumbai international airport on suspicion on August 28 and was taken to a state-run hospital.
The woman had arrived in Mumbai on Friday from Addis Ababa by Ethiopian Airlines flight, the customs department said in a tweet.
