Naveen and Heena from Nisar district topped Class 12 exams with 491 marks. Gurmeet from Government Senior Secondary School in Jind district topped the Arts stream with 489 marks, whereas Monika Kumari from Kaithal district topped Commerce stream with 484 marks.
The CM said that the decision to realign the state board syllabus with the NCERT was taken by the SAD-BJP government in 2014.
The paper, earlier, was conducted on March 26, but was cancelled and rescheduled to April 25 after the news of the question paper-leak broke.
The Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were postponed in Punjab in view of the 'Bharat Bandh' on April 2.
It asked students to remain cautious of any rumour mongering or mischief by certain elements. The CBSE called the paper doing social media rounds "fake."
On re-tests for Class 10 mathematics, the HRD Ministry said that a final decision on the re-examination for Delhi-NCR and Haryana would be taken in the next 15 days following a detailed inquiry.
The subjects for which the marking scheme has been notified for class 10 are Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English (Communications) and English (Language and Literature).
The number of applications for verification of marks has reached to unprecedented level.
