In an unprecedented move, 64 members of the Rajya Sabha belonging to seven parties led by the Congress submitted an impeachment motion for the removal of Chief Justice Dipak Misra on five grounds of 'misbehaviour'.
Naidu said in an order today that he had detailed personal conversation on all the aspects arising from the notice and had considered each of the allegations made in it individually as well as collectively.
The Congress was also trying to build up "moral pressure" on the Chief Justice of India in the hope that he would step aside from judicial duty if an impeachment motion was moved against him.
Listing five allegations of "misbehaviour" against Misra, Congress leader Kapil Sibal, at a press conference, said the notice for impeachment of the CJI has been moved with a heavy heart.
71 MPs had signed the impeachment motion (against CJI) but as 7 have retired the number is now 64.

The Supreme Court today decided to examine a PIL filed by former law minister Shanti Bhushan challenging the existing roster practice of allocation of cases by the Chief Justice of India (CJI).
The judge, who was delivering a talk on the topic 'Role of judiciary in democracy', also answered questions on the priority of the CJI in constituting benches and allocating cases to different judges as the 'master of roster'.
The argument was made during the hearing on the Aadhaar issue by senior advocate Shyam Divan before a five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra.
Dipak Misra took over as 45th Chief Justice of India on August 28, 2017. He will remain in office till October 2, 2018.
