The Congress released its second list consisting names of the candidates for the remaining six constituencies. It had earlier declared candidates for 12 seats.
The list includes big names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, along with 10 other Union ministers and four chief ministers.
In its first list released Saturday, 77 candidates were announced out of the total 90 seats in the state. The BJP has given tickets to 32 sitting MLAs, including 11 serving ministers.
Former IAS officer OP Chaudhary will be contesting from Chhattisgarh's Kharsia constituency, Union minister JP Nadda told reporters.
According to the alliance agreement, the JCC (J) will contest 55 seats, the BSP 33 and the CPI will contest the Sukma and Dantewada seats.
Senior leaders of JCC (J), BSP and CPI while holding a discussion decided that Jogi will need to concentrate on campaigning across the 90 Assembly seats, especially the 12 seats in Bastar division which will go to the polls in the first phase on November 12, he said.
