Discord is saying goodbye to its experimental AI chatbot, Clyde, by the end of the month, with users unable to interact with it from December 1. The platform, known for AI experiments, didn't specify the reasons for Clyde's closure yet.
User Nishanth Vijayan took to Twitter to share a screenshot of his interaction with the bot. In the screenshot, the user was seen asking the bot to write a paragraph explaining his absence at work in the style of Shashi Tharoor.
The English version of the app, also available in Malaysia, is the first concerted push outside of China since launching three years ago.
WhatsApp, with a billion users, is among the late adopters of this technology with chat apps like Telegram, Viber, and others, already offering this facility.
