Entire nation pray for Chandrayaan's successful landing on moon
The Vikram Moon Lander, named after the father of India's space mission Vikram Sarabhai on his birth centenary year, is scheduled to touch the lunar surface near its south pole on September 7 at about 1.55 am.

In a massive feat, moon-bound Chandrayaan 2 has been successfully placed in the moon's orbit.

Chandrayaan 2 launch: Chandrayaan-2 is all set to be launched from Sriharikota launchpad at 2:43 pm. Previously scheduled to be launched on July 15, the launch of Chandrayaan-2 was aborted due to a technical snag, which has now been rectified.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has said the snag that had led to a delay in the launch of Chandrayaan 2 mission has now been fixed. The Chandrayaan 2 mission is now slated to be launched at 2:43 pm today.
The GSLV-Mk III rocket with Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft was originally scheduled for flight at 2.51 a.m. on July 15. However, the flight was postponed after a technical snag was detected an hour prior to the rocket lift-off.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) said that the launch rehearsal of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which will be launched at 2:43 pm on July 22, has been completed.
