Mohammad Faisal, who heads the South Asia wing in the Foreign Office, summoned the Indian envoy and "condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violation" by Indian forces in Bhimbar sector on Friday.
He said that 14 security personnel were martyred in the one-month period from April to June and 39 were injured while there were 11 civilians who lost their lives in this period, and 77 got injured.
Rifleman Bikas Gurung, 21, lost his life in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Gurung belonged to Khunka Khuki village, Manipur, and is survived by his mother Shrimati Beana May Gurung.
"The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation," said a statement from the Foreign Office.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said ceasefire violations were being used by Pakistan to aid infiltration of terrorists.
The Defence Minister's tough statement came even as fresh firing from Pakistan forces was reported in Nambh and Sher village areas of Nowshera sector earlier on Tuesday.
The clashes, which lasted almost eight hours, forced the authorities to shift civilians from border villages in Pargwal and Kanachak sub-sectors to safer places out of the line of fire, with police using bulletproof vehicles in at least 30 villages.
The chief minister said people on both sides of the border are getting killed by the firing and called upon DGMOs of both the countries to talk and end the bloodshed.
India and Pakistan mutually agreed that in case of any issue, restraint will be exercised and the matter will be resolved through utilisation of existing mechanisms of Hotline Contacts and Border Flag Meetings at Local Commanders’ Level.
The halt of security operations during Ramzan by the Centre "has led the people of the state to heave a sigh of relief," the chief minister said, adding Pakistan should respond positively by bringing peace on the border.
About 8-10 Pakistani rangers are believed to be shot dead, and over 12 injured since Friday. Several Pakistani posts were also destroyed.
According to an official statement, 100 border villages and 40 BSF outposts in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts are under direct attack by Pakistani forces as they continued the shelling for the ninth day today, prompting a strong and effective retaliation by the BSF.
Around 10 am, Indian troops, obliterated a watch tower and bunker at Pakistan's Paswan Power. The Pakistani troops were using the bunker and tower to shoot mortar shells on residential areas in India.
Earlier on Sunday, the BSF said the Pakistan Rangers "pleaded" with them to stop firing along the IB, after being pounded with heavy artillery that left a Pakistani trooper dead.
In the wee hours of Friday, a BSF jawan and four civilians were killed and over a dozen others were injured in Pak firing on the border in RS Pura and Arnia sectors of Jammu.

“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 1715 hours in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday night,” a defence spokesman said.
Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal summoned Singh and condemned the "unprovoked ceasefire violations" today in Nikial sector.
