The NSCN-IM has committed a serious violation of ceasefire ground rules by setting up an "unauthorised camp" in Ukhrul district of Manipur, Indian Army sources have said.
An Indian Defence spokesperson said the Pakistani army began violating ceasefire early Tuesday.
In Akhnoor, the Pakistan Army resorted to mortar shelling and firing of small arms which continued till Tuesday morning. Our troops retaliated effectively, a defence spokesperson said.

Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday, a defence spokesperson said.
A defence spokesman said there was no report of ceasefire violation by Pakistan anywhere along the LoC in Jammu province, especially in the worst-hit Rajouri and Poonch districts since Wednesday afternoon.
The intense shelling and firing from across the border continued throughout the night in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, while it started in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch in the early hours of Wednesday, they said.
Pakistan had resorted to cross-border firing at Nowshera and Sunderbani in Rajouri and Krishna Ghati in Poonch on Tuesday as well.
There was no report of loss of life on the Indian side.
Indian Army retaliated effectively.
In Kamalkote area of Uri, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing towards Indian posts and villages.
There was no injury or loss of life in the ceasefire violations, an officer said, adding that Indian troops gave a "befitting reply" to the firing.
The exclusive video, accessed by India TV, shows Pakistan Army violating ceasefire in Buttal sector Sunday night. The Pak army not only targeted Indian posts but civilians living in residential areas as well.
The Pakistan army had resorted to unprovoked firing along the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri on Tuesday as well.
Indian troops did not retaliate to the "deliberate provocation" to avoid civilian casualties across the border, said the officer, asking not to be named.
There has been a spurt in ceasefire violations along the LoC in the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch since the beginning of this year.
There is no report of loss of life.
The number of ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops along the LoC and the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir in 2018 was the highest at over 1,600.
This is the second time in the past three days that Pakistani troops have resorted to unprovoked firing from across the border in Noushera sector.
