Russia's UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia called a 30-day ceasefire unrealistic, and diplomats said during negotiations on the text he argued that it couldn't be enforced.

Parveen Akhter was killed when she was hit by a bullet fired by Pakistani troops along the LoC in Pkukherni and Lairan villages of Noushera around 10:35 PM, he said. The official said Akhter was hit inside her home at Lairan village.
Pakistani forces opened unprovoked and heavy firing and shelling along LoC in Bhimbher Gali sector of Rajouri district this evening.
Indian troops are retaliating strongly to the firing from Pakistani side.
Pakistan violated the ceasefire in Pargwal, Arnia, Kanachak and R.S. Pura areas of Jammu district targeting Border Security Force (BSF) and civilian facilities.
Firing from across the border started on Thursday and has forced thousands of people to flee their homes and take shelter in rehabilitation camps or with their relatives.
Targeting PM Modi, the Chief Minister said, "Country is on the path of development, it is what PM talks about, but the opposite is happening in our state".
