The Centre earlier told the Supreme Court that a final decision on conducting board exams will be taken in next two days. CBSE has proposed conducting the exams between July 15-August 26 and the result to be declared in September
The apex Court has asked the petitioner to serve an advanced copy to respondents including Centre, CBSE and ICSE. The next hearing on the case will be on Monday, May 31, 2021.

The CBSE on Wednesday informed that it will give at least 15-day advance notice to the students, schools before announcing the new dates of Class 12 board exams 2021 after it postponed the existing scheduled examination which was to take place from May 4 to June 14, 2021, in view of the pandemic and safety, the well-being of students.
