Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called for an all-party meeting on Tuesday to share the details of the caste census report and hold discussions about the necessary steps to be taken.
The Patna High Court had put a stay on the caste-based survey on May 4. This judgment was made on a petition challenging and seeking an interim stay on the enumeration of castes and economic survey in Bihar.
The Centre on Monday filed a fresh revised affidavit in the Supreme Court in the matter of the Bihar caste survey withdrawing the earlier one filed before the apex court. In the fresh affidavit, the Centre cited 'inadvertent error'.
