Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar inaugurated the India Pavilion at Cannes Film Market 2020 on Monday and actress Kangana Ranaut was the one who attended it. The actress looked like a boss lady in a white pantsuit.
Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the festival will be held online this year and there is no competition section. However, the film market, where filmmakers from around the world get a chance to showcase their projects for prospective buyers, will continue in the festival's online version.

Last month, it was revealed that the Cannes Film Festival will not take place in June due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It was also reported that the organisers are busy exploring different options to conduct the festival later this year.
The festival had already been postponed from its original mid-May dates to late June and early July. But organisers said this is "no longer an option" after President Emmanuel Macron said that cultural festivals could not resume until mid-July at the earliest.
If the Cannes film festival is canceled due to coronavirus, it will be for the third time that it is called off. The movie gala did not take place in 1948 and 1950 due to budgetary constraints.
