The incident occurred late Wednesday between Samari and Bhutahi in a Naxal-affected area. In a separate accident, a bus crash in Janjgir Champa killed four people after hitting two motorcycles. Additionally, on June 1, a bus fire near Abhanpur saw all 40 passengers evacuated safely.
A constable from the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces, serving as a government officer's gunman, tragically ended his life by shooting himself with his service weapon in Kabirdham district. Krishna Kumar Sahu's lifeless body was discovered at the CEO's official residence.
Platoon commander Bindeshwar Sahani and head constable Rameshwar Sahu were killed in the incident, while another platoon commander Lachhuram Premi sustained injuries.
