Days after all six legislators of the BSP joined the ruling Congress in Rajasthan, the Mayawati-led party's two MLAs in Madhya Pradesh have asserted that they will remain loyal to their party chief and not switch sides.
Mayawati called the defection of BSP MLAs 'a betrayal with the party which was extending outside support to Cong govt in Rajasthan'.
"JJP has believed in strengthening the BSP, its leadership, workers and supporters and gave 40 seats (for contesting polls) to it," Chautala tweeted. "Our intention has been to give political power and self-confidence to 'Bahujan Samaj' and will continue to do so."
"Mayawati is like a naked electric wire. Anyone who touches her will die," he said in an informal chat with the media here. The Minister of State for Social Welfare and SC/ST Welfare, who represents the Agra cantonment seat in the Assembly, said: "Mayawati is not trustworthy and has betrayed everyone.
Slamming the Congress-led opposition for going to Jammu and Kashmir, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Monday said the leaders should have thought before making the visit as it will give a chance for the BJP to politicise the issue.
