A passenger at Cochin International Airport was detained after making an alarming comment about a bomb in his bag to a CISF officer. The incident led to a thorough security check, which found no threat. The passenger was handed over to local police for further investigation.
The police said the case is linked to a July 16 incident, wherein an email was issued under the name of the proscribed terrorist organization 'Al-Qaeda' to Bihar CM's office and threatened to blow up the premises.
The ATS registered a case and immediately launched an investigation into the matter. Security has been ramped up in the area.
Delhi bomb threat: A private school in the Greater Kailash area of south Delhi received a bomb threat via email. Thorough checking was done by a bomb detection team and nothing suspicious was found.
The mail was received by the Kendriya Vidyalaya school located on the IIT Indore campus on July 17. The authorities promptly informed the police. The police conducted searches and launched a probe.

An online group called "KNR" is suspected to be behind these hoax threat emails. The group reportedly issued similar emails to several schools in the Delhi-NCR on May 1.
A Chandigarh police official said they were searching the premises of the mental health institute but nothing has been found so far. Besides police personnel, bomb disposal squad and fire department officials have been deputed at the site.

The bomb threat was received at 5:35 am after which the officials swung into action. The flight was moved to isolation bay to conduct a search operation. According to an official, the threat turned out to be hoax.
Taj Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport are the latest buildings in the long list that received bomb threat. In a month over a hundred schools in Delhi-NCR, three five-star hotels in Bengaluru and North Block (Offices of several ministries) got a similar threat.
