Thakur is an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case in which seven people were killed. She was in jail for nine years and is presently out on bail.
“Going by the condition of the body, it must have been there for at least six months. The neighbours have said the flat has been locked for as many months,” the police said.
The saffron party workers were protesting against the recent murders of their leaders Prahlad Bandhwar in Mandsaur and Manoj Thackeray in Barwani.
