“Punjab Government shall be requesting the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court to get the case inquired into by the sitting judge of the high court,” Bhagwan Mann said.
Announcing the formation of a Special Investigation Team to probe the murder, the DGP said Moose Wala had not taken with him the two Punjab police commandos who were still provided for his security.
According to reports, the attack on Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose wala took place just a day after the Punjab government had withdrawn his security.
The former chief minister's remark came in response to former minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa's statement that the state government should order the Punjab Police to interrogate him to get the names of former ministers and MLAs involved in corrupt practices during his regime.
