The hospital authorities had not handed over the bodies of the COVID-19 victims to their families, citing infection risks. The authorities had called the families and had informed them they have cremated the bodies.
According to some media reports, Dr. Srinivas Ramakrishna V, Victoria Hospital, said the vials were stored in a locker on the seventh floor of the Master Plan Building.
