State-run banks including Bank of Maharashtra, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Syndicate Bank and Bank of Baroda have warned their operations may be impacted due to the call of strike as per regulatory filings.
All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and bank employees federation of India (BEFI) have called for a strike across the country on October 22 to stage a protest against the merger of 10 public sector banks (PSBs).
Bank strike alert: A cluster of four bank officers union has called for two-day strike next week; 26 September and 27 September. If their bank strike is successful then bank operations in India would be hit for four consecutive days from September 26 to 29.

The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and Bank Employees Federation of India has informed the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) of the two-day nation-wide strike on January 8-9, 2019, IDBI Bank said in a filing to the BSE.
This comes as a section of PSU bank employees have given a call for two-day strike on January 8-9 in support of the nation-wide strike call given by 10 central trade unions against the government's alleged anti-worker policy.
This was second bank strike in less than a week.
Though banks such as Federal Bank, South Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank remained closed on Wednesday, some private sector banks including ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank functioned normally.
Earlier on December 21, a day-long strike was observed by an officers' union of state-run banks against the merger. They also demanded immediate settlement of wage negotiations.
Services of state-owned banks are expected to be impacted on Wednesday due to a nation-wide strike call given by unions to protest against the proposed amalgamation of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank with Bank of Baroda.
In order to quell the situation, the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) had raised its wage hike offer to 8 per cent from 6 per cent a day earlier.

However, operations in private banks, such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, were almost normal, barring few activities including cheque clearance.
Most of the banks, including SBI, PNB and BoB, have already informed their customers that functioning of branches and offices will be impacted if the strike takes off.
According to AIBEA, at a time when people are already worried about their money in the banks, the government instead of assuring the people about safety has chosen to bring this FRDI Bill which deals with possible liquidation of banks.
The issue of wage revision at IDBI Bank, pending since Nov 2012, was discussed at a joint meeting of unions which decided on the all-India strike in December.
Banks are yet to clear the dues of lakhs of employees who put in extra hours to deal with the unprecedented rush at banks following demonetisation.
