Four militants killed in an ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora
Jammu & Kashmir: A search operation was initiated in the area earlier this week after an Army patrol team were fired at by militants.
The area has been cordoned off and a search is on for the militants, the police said, adding no casualties have been reported so far.
The CASO was luanched after militants lobbed the grenades using underbarrel grenade launchers at the camp of the 13 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army around 8.30 PM on Tuesday.
Around 4-6 terrorists came from two sides of army camp of 13 Rashtriya Rifles and Hajin police station and fired around 8 rounds from Underbarrel Grenade Launcher.
The terrorists on Tuesday launched a major attack on an army post at Hajin in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district.

According to police officials, militants stormed into the houses of Ghulam Hassan Dar alias Hassan Rasa and Bashir Ahmad Dar, both hailing from Shahgund Hajin in North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Friday and abducted them.
It was learnt that one LeT militant was injured in the encounter and this morning police came to know about the death of the said militant.
According to reports, one jawan was also martyred in the gunfight which broke out while security forces were carrying out a search operation to locate militants in Hajin area’s Chandergeer village.
According to a police official, the gunfight broke out in Mir Mohalla village of Hajin area of the district this morning.

Muhammad Ramzan Parray was posted in adjacent Baramulla with 73 battalion of the BSF. He had come on leave on August 26 to finalise the renovation of his house.
Three family members of the jawan, who has been identified as Rameez Ahmad Parray, were also injured in the attack.
A group of five to six terrorists had attempted to infiltrate into the Indian side in the wee hours today, Army sources said. However, the prompt and appropriate response by security forces led to a gunfight in which two of them were killed.
