An FIR against former Congress MLA was registered by Shaheen Bagh police under sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Indian Penal Code.
A police officer said Asif Khan, the main accused in the manhandling case, had been arrested and two others have been detained while their role is being examined.
