BJP MP Ananthkumar Hegde on Tuesday said Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) employees were "traitors" who were unwilling to work and the government would privatise the company. According to Hegde, more than 88,000 employees will be fired from the public sector unit (PSU), as the government will privatise the company.
Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ananth Kumar Hegde drew criticism after he said if a Hindu girl is touched by a hand, then that hand should not exist.
"I deeply respect the Constitution, Parliament and Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Constitution is supreme for me, there can be no question on it, as a citizen I can never go against it," Hegde said.
Addressing the party members at the 133rd foundation day of the Congress party, Rahul accused senior BJP leaders of tampering with the country’s Constitution.
Former Kalaburagi zilla panchayat member Gurushant Pattedar said he had announced the "bounty" because Hegde's comment had pained Dalits, Muslims, backward classes and secular people.
Ananth Kumar Hegde said that those who consider themselves secular and intellectual do not have "their own identity" and they were also unaware of their parentage.
