Iran's Chief Nuclear Negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani has been appointed as the acting foreign minister of Iran. Earlier today, Iran made official confirmation that President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian did not survive the plane crash in East Azerbaijan province.
The charred wreckage of the helicopter which crashed on Sunday carrying Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian was found early the next day after an overnight search in blizzard conditions.
