BJP spokesperson Anil Baluni said Rahul Gandhi should not worry about Modi and should rather be concerned about his and Sonia Gandhi's electoral fate in 2019.
The incident has been reported from Jagdishpur area of Amethi. Initial reports suggest old rivalry is the reason behind these clashes.
Workers of both parties clashed reportedly after BJP supporters protested with banners and placards against the Congress president.
Adityanath said that had the Congress laid more emphasis on development, Amethi would not have languished.
Rahul Gandhi, who returned to India after visiting Bahrain, thanked that country's leaders and its people for their love and hospitality.
