Several historical sites, prime being the world famous Ajanta and Ellora Caves, in Aurangabad in Maharashtra will be shut from Thursday till April 7 as a precautionary move in view of the novel coronavirus outbreak, a senior official said.
Two tourist visitor centers set up at the Ajanta and Ellora caves here by the Maharashtra government with funding from the Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA) have been shut due to their pending water and electricity dues worth Rs 5 crore.
