The maximum temperature during the day is likely to hover near 27 degrees Celsius.
The CPCB said in 19 areas of the national capital the air quality was in the "very poor" category, while in six areas it was recorded in the "poor" category.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 28 degrees Celsius and the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 93 per cent.
Acting tough on the grave issue, a bench comprising of Justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta said that officials who have failed to act on the complaints were required to be prosecuted.
SAFAR, on Sunday, had said the air quality in the city will oscillate between "poor" and "very poor" till Wednesday.
The Particulate Matter (PM) concentration is likely to reduce owing to increased wind speed and air quality is likely to be in poor category.
On Thursday, the overall air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 273 which falls in the poor category, according to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board

Meanwhile, a new study revealed nearly 89 per cent of people feel sick or discomfort, due to the deteriorating air quality in Delhi and adjoining areas.
An action plan on sewage disposal, groundwater extraction, rainwater harvesting, municipal solid waste management, systems for groundwater recharge will be in worked upon in the first meeting.
"The sky will be clear with mist in the early part of the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
As the Air Quality Index has reached the 'very poor' quality mark, this means that there are high chances of people breathing this air to suffer from respiratory illnesses on prolonged exposure.

A total of Rs 9.6 lakh was imposed for violations of dust pollution control norms, officials said.
There could be 'severe' deterioration from November 5 due to unfavourable meteorological conditions, authorities said.
The Supreme Court-appointed Environment Pollution Control Authority are considering regulating use of private vehicles if the pollution level in the national capital deteriorated.
