Sasikala, a close aide of former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa, has been directed by the authorities to report to the Bengaluru jail on October 12 by 6 pm.

Beating the deadline, rival AIADMK factions on Friday filed documents with the Election Commission buttressing their case in the claim for the party name and the "Two Leaves" symbol.
Prior to the merger, the two faction led by O Panneerselvam and VK Sasikala had staked claim to the symbol. The poll panel had frozen it, pending decision on their pleas.
Ever since Jayalalithaa's death, there have been hints of foul play in her death, with critics pointing fingers at her aide, the now jailed VK Sasikala.
DMK leader Stalin has urged the Centre to order a CBI probe to "unravel the mystery" surrounding Jayalalithaa's death.
He further claimed that even the national leaders used to sit in Apollo Hospitals Chief Pratap Reddy's room and the AIADMK Ministers would also be seated in that room.
An AIDMK delegation met the Commission and countered the claims of the rebel camp led by Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dhinakaran that the resolutions were invalid.
