Malladi, however, declined to comment on expected timeline of 5G rollout in India, stating that spectrum auction is yet to be held in the country, following which airwaves for offering 5G services will be available.
The targets set by the network agency stipulate that by 2022 at least 98 percent of households in Germany should have access to an internet connection with a minimum of 100 megabits per second.
During the test trial, a user throughput of more than 3Gbps was achieved.
