Amid the high-stake tussle at Telangana’s Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, BJP’s candidate Madhavi Latha has staged a protest outside a polling booth accusing poll rigging on Monday.
She alleged that some people are inside the polling booth at Jamal Colony, Riyasat Nagar under Santosh Nagar Police station jurisdiction and are rigging the election.
Accompanied by her supporters, Latha staged a protest and demanded to open the door of the polling booth. On the question of her plan further, Latha said, “I need to first ensure that this is thrown out.” She insisted that she has to figure it out and know what is happening inside.
She raised concern that they are not opening the door and are accomplices in the conspiracy.
Madhavi booked for checking IDs of Muslim women
Earlier in the day, she was spotted at the polling booth no 122 at Azampur in the constituency and checked the voter IDs of the Muslim women by removing the burqa for verification.

As per law candidate has the right to check the ID cards without the facemasks. I am not a man, I am a woman and with a lot of humbleness, I have only requested them - can I please see and verify with the ID cards? If somebody wants to make a big issue out of it, that means they are scared," she said.
She also accused irregularities during the polling. She accused the police personnel of being dull and inactive, She said that senior citizens were coming but their names weer not on the list. Also she accused that some of the voters were the residents of Goshamahal but their names were in the list of Rangareddy.
