YouTube Music is undergoing a significant transformation this year with a slew of exciting updates. One of the latest additions is an AI-powered feature that lets users create personalised playlist artwork. This new feature, currently available for English language users in the United States, uses generative AI to craft custom playlist artwork. Soon, it will expand to other regions and languages.
How it works?
In the past, when you created a playlist on YouTube Music, the app would automatically generate the artwork. With generative AI, you can now have a say in the photos, styles, and themes used to make your playlist stand out. After making your selections and hitting "save," you're presented with multiple unique artwork options. You can choose one that appeals to you or tap "Randomise" to explore more design ideas.

Revamped Home page for YouTube Music
In addition, YouTube Music is revamping its Home page. A new "speed dial" section will display the music content users listen to the most, making it easy to dive back into your favorite tunes. This update aims to enhance the user experience and keep the most-loved music content readily accessible.
YouTube, which is owned by Google, also shared that over 2 billion people visit the platform each month to enjoy music. With generative AI, users can now take their playlist artwork to a whole new level, ensuring it reflects their unique style and preferences.
