As per the recent study which took place by McGill University regarding smartphone addiction, it was stated that several countries have maximum addiction to smartphones. Citing the research report of McGill University, World of Statistics has shared a list of countries on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) where people are most prone to smartphone addiction. If we talk about the top 10 countries from the ‘addiction to the smartphone’ list, then it includes:

Malaysia
Brazil
South Korea

Nepal.

Smartphone addiction in India

As per the research report, people in China are presently struggling the most with smartphone addiction. Saudi Arabia is at number 2 in the list, in terms of smartphone use while Malaysia stands in the third position.

Brazil and South Korea are at 4 and 5 respectively. India has also been named in the list, which stands in the fourth position in terms of smartphone addiction.
