WhatsApp is set to introduce a new feature that will help users manage their incoming messages more easily. This feature will be particularly beneficial for those who receive a large number of messages throughout the day. It has been observed in the Android beta version and is currently in the development phase.
According to a report from WABetaInfo, this feature will allow users to efficiently handle incoming messages. Some users have already started receiving this feature in the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.24.11.13, although it has only been rolled out to a limited number of users. The report states that this feature can be found in the notification settings.
Based on the screenshot provided in the report, users will have access to a new option in the settings to manage notifications. This will include the option for High Priority notification, Reaction notification, and the ability to clear unread message count after opening the app, enabling users to delete unread message count from the app.
This feature will be especially beneficial for users who receive a large number of messages throughout the day, making it difficult to read and manage all of them. After enabling this feature, all unread messages count will disappear as soon as they go to the Chats section after opening WhatsApp.
In addition to this feature, many other new features are being added to Meta's instant messaging app to enhance the user experience. These features are currently in beta version and may soon be available in the stable version. Furthermore, significant changes to the user interface of WhatsApp are also expected.
Meanwhile, the WhatsApp status section is continually being updated, with the company working on various important features to make it more engaging. Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to privately mention contacts in their status updates. Now, there are reports of another update regarding this feature. WhatsApp is working on making the status updates more interesting. According to the latest update, the platform will enable users to view the people mentioned in their status updates.
