Availability
As per the report filed by WABetaInfo, the new long-format voice note status feature is currently rolling out to all WhatsApp users, using Android and iOS platforms. To use this feature, users might need to update their WhatsApp to the latest version (check the App Store/Play Store).
How to post long-format voice notes on WhatsApp? Step-by-step guide
- Update WhatsApp: Make sure that your WhatsApp app is updated to the latest version.
- Open WhatsApp: Now open the app on your handset.
- Go to the Updates tab where you can check your status updates.
- Tap on the Pencil Icon to start a new status update.
- Tap on the Microphone, which is at the bottom right of the screen, and tap on the microphone icon.
- Now start recording by holding the microphone button, and start recording your voice note.
- Release the button once you are done.
