Vodafone Idea (Vi) is giving free data to its users in India. The company has launched the Vi Guarantee Programme under which eligible subscribers will get 130GB of free data. The offer is for Vi prepaid users using a 5G-enabled or a new 4G smartphone. Eligible users will get 10GB of free data in 13 tranches. To avail the full benefit, the company requires users to not switch to postpaid, deactivate the number, or change their existing eligible plan. Here are all the details you need to know.
Vodafone India's Vi Guarantee Programme
Vi announced the offer last week in a post. The document describes the Vi Guarantee Programme, stating that eligible subscribers who meet the criteria will receive a total of 130 GB of extra data over a one-year period, provided complimentary. Once the offer is claimed, the extra data will be credited to the customer's account in 13 installments of 10GB each, and each installment will be valid for 28 days.
In order to qualify for this offer, the user must be a prepaid subscriber with an unlimited daily data pack starting at Rs. 239 and going up to Rs. 3,199. The user will need to continuously recharge the same pack for the entire duration of the offer. If a user switches to postpaid or deactivates their number, they will not receive the remaining benefits. Additionally, users must own a 5G or a new 4G smartphone to be eligible for this offer.
This offer is not available in the telecom circles of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, North East, and Orissa.
The limited offer is active from May 25 to midnight on June 14. The extra data can only be used once users have exhausted their daily data limit.
How to Claim the Vi Guarantee Programme Offer
- Eligible users can dial 121199 or 199199# on their smartphone and follow the prompts to claim the offer.
- After completing the process, you should receive a confirmation text message.
- To check the additional data, dial *199# on your smartphone.
