Apple has announced the new iOS 18 for iPhone users during the WWDC 2024. Many new features are introduced in this operating system. At present, the operating system is available for beta users. iOS 18 includes features that were previously available in Android smartphones and were demanded by iPhone users. Apple has also added several privacy features in response to user demand.

One significant privacy feature found in the developer's beta version 1 of iOS 18 is the ability for iPhone users to hide apps, folders, or widgets from their home screen. Additionally, iPhone users can customize their home screen to display only app icons. This feature is currently available only in the developer's beta version 1, so non-beta users cannot access it at the moment.

How to customise iPhone’s home screen?

To customise their home screen, iPhone users can tap and hold on an empty area of their home screen, then select the "Edit" option in the top-left corner of the screen.

From there, users can tap on the "Customise" option and select the large icon. Increasing the size of the icon will make the app name disappear. However, users will still not be able to hide the apps on the home screen.

Meanwhile, at the recent Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple announced that iOS 18 will be packed with numerous innovations. One of the standout features introduced was Apple Intelligence, a new artificial intelligence system designed to enhance the iPhone's capabilities with advanced AI-driven functionalities.

However, recent reports suggest that Apple has not confirmed whether iPhone models will fully support Apple Intelligence. According to the latest report, the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, set to launch around September, might not support the Apple Intelligence feature. This comes as a surprise, as these models are part of Apple's latest lineup.
