Redmi is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in the country. The upcoming Redmi 13 5G will arrive in the country next month. The smartphone will succeed Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G. These smartphones were introduced in August 2023 in India. The company has confirmed the launch date, design, colour options, and various key specifications of the smartphone. Redmi 13 5G India launch date and design
Redmi India has confirmed in a recent X (Twitter) post that the Redmi 13 5G will launch in India on July 9 at 12PM IST. A microsite for the phone has also been made live on the Xiaomi India website, showcasing the design and colour options of the upcoming handset.
The Redmi 13 5G features a flat display with thick bezels, a relatively thicker chin, and a centered hole-punch slot at the top to house the front camera sensor. The right edge of the handset holds the volume rocker and the power button, while the top edge features a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Redmi 13 5G has a shiny glass finish at the back and features a dual rear camera system. The two camera units, along with an LED flash unit, are placed in three separate, slightly raised, circular modules in the top left corner of the phone. It will be available in two colours - blue and pink.

The microsite has confirmed several key features of the Redmi 13 5G. It is claimed to have the largest display among 5G handsets in the segment. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, and ships with Android 14-based HyperOS. It is also confirmed to have a 108-megapixel main rear camera and 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. No other details about the smartphone have been confirmed yet.
In addition to this, the Redmi 13 4G variant was recently unveiled in select European countries earlier this month. It comes with a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra SoC, a 6.79-inch full-HD+ LCD screen, a 108-megapixel main camera, and a 5,030mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support.
