This week saw the launch of two powerful mid-range smartphones in India. Realme GT 6T has debuted with Qualcomm's 4nm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip and a dual rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor. A day after its launch, the Poco F6 smartphone arrived with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, making it the first phone in India to be powered by this 4nm octa-core chipset. The handset features an OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup.

Poco F6 vs Realme GT 6T: Cameras
The Poco F6 features a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony main lens and an 8MP Sony ultrawide lens. The Realme GT 6T also boasts a 50MP Sony main lens and an 8MP Sony sensor. Both main cameras have OIS and support 4K videos at 60fps.
Although both phones may offer similar camera performance, Realme's camera may produce more saturated colours. Additionally, the Poco has a 20MP selfie snapper while the Realme has a 32MP front camera. The GT 6T's front shooter can take 2x selfie portraits, which is an added advantage.

Both processors exceed the 1800 mark in the single-core department and the 4,500 mark in the multi-core department. Overall, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is slightly more powerful.

In terms of battery, the Realme GT 6T has a 5,500mAh battery, while the Poco F6 has a 5,000mAh battery. Both smartphones come with 120W charging support. Additionally, since the GT 6T has LTPO, you may experience slightly better battery life.

Both phones run on Android 14, with the Poco F6 using HyperOS and the GT 6T using Realme UI. Both phones come with pre-installed bloatware, with the Poco having more of it. However, the Poco comes with additional software features such as lock screen customization, as well as AI features like Sky editor and object eraser for photos in the Gallery.

Overall, for gaming, both smartphones offer good performance. However, the Poco F6 comes with lots of bloatware. In comparison, Realme offers cleaner software, better battery life, and fast charging support.
