OnePlus is reportedly planning to unleash the new smartphone under the Nord series. The company is said to come with the new Nord CE 4 Lite 5G, which is the anticipated successor of the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G which was launched last year in April (2023). Although the company has not made any official announcement related to the launch of the new Nord device, leaks have suggested that it might arrive along with the OnePlus Nord 4 5G.
Both smartphones have been recently spotted on certification websites, which has confirmed the device.
Leak details: Launch timeline and price
As per the tipster named Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu) who wrote on X about the upcoming smartphone. He shed light on the potential launch date and price tag for the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G.
As per the leaked information shared by Choudhary, the smartphone is expected to launch in India at around June (2024) and will be priced at Rs. 20,000. This positions it as a budget-friendly option within the competitive 5G smartphone market. The tipster also suggests a July launch for the OnePlus Nord 4 5G, possibly priced at Rs. 31,999.
Expected specifications
The leaks further say that the upcoming Nord CE 4 Lite 5G might feature a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display, and it is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. Backed by a 5,500mAh battery, the device is expected to come with the strength to last for an entire working day on a single charge.
For further added security and convenience, the device will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, like the predecessor.
The smartphone runs on the Android 14 operating system and would further provide access to the newest features and functionalities.
Additionally, the smartphone is tipped to receive 2 years of operating system updates and 3 years of security updates, which ensures a degree of software support over time.
On the camera front, the upcoming Nord CE 4 Lite 5G is expected to come with a dual rear camera setup. The main sensor is rumoured to be around 50 megapixels, and will be capable of capturing decent photos in any light condition a 2-megapixel depth sensor might be included to assist with portrait mode effects.
On the front, the device will come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and VC.
