OnePlus recently unveiled its forthcoming OnePlus 12- which is a flagship smartphone from the company and confirmed some key details about its display and chipset during the BOE conference event in China. The company showcased a few OnePlus 12 models at the event to highlight the display capabilities of the device but kept the design concealed.
Design of the OnePlus 12
The phone, displayed with a case, reveals a substantial square camera bump on the rare panel, accompanied by an alert slider on the right side, and it features thin bezels surrounding the display. The volume and power buttons are positioned on the opposite side.
OnePlus to feature ‘Oriental Screen’
OnePlus is touting that the OnePlus 12 will feature an ‘Oriental Screen’ with OPPO's first-generation display chip Display P1 and a high-precision pixel-level calibration algorithm to enhance image quality, increase brightness, and lower power consumption. The device has received DisplayMate A+ certification and supports a 2K resolution, although the specific display size remains undisclosed. The images suggest the possibility of retaining the 6.7-inch LTPO screen seen in the OnePlus 11.
The screen of OnePlus 12
The screen offers a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, slightly lower than the recently launched OnePlus Open with 2,800 nits. However, the OnePlus 12's display surpasses the brightness of recent flagship phones in India. The company also asserts that the screen's lifespan is more than twice that of typical smartphone displays and provides the "most eye-protective" screen experience.
