Samsung has announced a partnership with an Indian financial services company to facilitate a more streamlined ticket-booking experience. The South Korean tech giant has partnered with One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm. Through this partnership, Samsung Wallet will enable ticket booking services for flights, movies, events and more through Paytm.
Samsung has announced that Paytm's services will now be integrated into the Samsung Wallet app. This means that Samsung Galaxy smartphone users can now use the Samsung Wallet app to purchase tickets for flights, movies, shows, and events directly. Users can also add existing tickets to the app using the new 'Add to Samsung Wallet' button.
The services are accessible by updating the Wallet app. Specifically, flight and movie ticket bookings can be made via Paytm, while the Paytm Insider app facilitates ticket booking for events and shows.
Additionally, Samsung plans to introduce discounts of up to Rs. 1,150 on first-time bookings through these services in the future.
Apart from the Paytm partnership, Samsung Wallet is launching a new Referral Programme. Users can earn a gift card worth Rs. 100 for every successful registration when they refer someone, up to a maximum of Rs. 300. In addition, Samsung Wallet will soon announce a tap-and-pay offer that will provide users with an Amazon gift card worth Rs. 250 after completing four tap-and-pay transactions.
Meanwhile, Samsung has introduced a new Galaxy smartwatch called the Galaxy Watch FE. This budget-friendly smartwatch offers various features from the Galaxy Watch series at an affordable price, similar to the Samsung FE series of Galaxy smartphones.
Some highlights of the smartwatch include a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 247mAh battery with wireless charging support, and more.
