Nothing, a London-based consumer tech brand has announced the official date for the CMF Phone 1, which is July 8 (2024). It will be the first smartphone from the sub-brand of Nothing and speculations state that the device will come with premium specifications at the affordable price tag.
It is further stated that the company will also be releasing the second-generation products- Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2 on the same day, when the CMF Phone will be launched.
Nothing introduced its CMF brand last year (in 2023) by launching three new products - earbuds, smartwatch and charger, under this brand. Last month, Nothing further announced that it would be integrating OpenAI's Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT into all of its audio products for better connectivity and faster response.
Meanwhile, Nothing also appointed Vishal Bhola as the President of its India business.
Bhola, in his new position, will play a major role in accelerating the company's growth trajectory in India, leveraging his expertise in consumer tech and strategic business management.
It was at the start of June when Carl Pei tipped the launch of the upcoming smartphone from the CMF brand. It was speculated that the soon-to-be-launched device will be branded under the sub-brand as Pei (the CEO of Nothing) clarified via X (formerly known as Twitter) post about the teased model.

Gadget Bits, a Tipster posted on X claims that the upcoming CMF Phone 1 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 octa-core chipset and will have four cores clocked at 2.5GHz and another four clocked at 2.0GHz. Also, the device is said to have a MicroSD card slot as well, for storage expansion.
Also, the tipster shared a concept image of the smartphone, created by user Rahul Janardhanan, which shows a dual rear camera system vertically aligned, similar to the Nothing Phone 2.
