Motorola is all set to launch a new smartphone in India. The upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Motorola Edge 50 Fusion was globally introduced in April. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is currently available for sale in the country. Now, the Ultra version has been teased to launch soon in the country. Some of the highlights of the upcoming smartphone include Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery with both wired and wireless fast charging support. Here are all the details you need to know.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra India launch
The Motorola India handle on X (formerly Twitter) recently shared a teaser of a smartphone with the "coming soon" tag. The teaser image only displays the back panel of the upcoming handset, revealing a wooden-textured rear panel and the camera unit placements.
This teaser confirms that it is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, particularly its Nordic Wood variant. The accompanying text in the image reads, "'Wood' you believe it?" It is expected that the upcoming Indian variant of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will have similar specifications to its global counterpart.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs Android 14-based Hello UI. It features a 6.7-inch 144Hz full-HD+ pOLED screen.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is equipped with a triple rear camera unit for optics. This includes a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter with up to 3x optical zoom. The front camera houses a 50-megapixel sensor.
The device is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It offers connectivity options such as dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, NavIC, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
