With the recent price hikes by India’s major telecom providers- Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi), staying connected is relatively more expensive. Starting from July 3, 2024, Jio and Airtel will be increasing their annual plan prices by up to Rs 600, while Vi will follow suit from July 4 onwards. However, there are clever to escape the expenses and escape from these rising costs- saving on your recharge for the next 365 days- for a year.

The price hike breakdown

1. Jio and Airtel: Current Rs 2,999 plans will rise to Rs 3,599.
2. Vodafone Idea: The Rs 2,899 plan will go up to Rs 3,499.

How to lock in lower prices for a year?

To dodge the upcoming price hikes, which are just a couple of days ahead, it is suggested to consider recharging your Jio or Airtel number with the annual plans. By doing this, you could enjoy the benefits of the current rates for an entire day, even after the price increases- but you need to decide before July 3.

Benefits of recharging now

Jio: At present, Jio is offering a 336-day plan for Rs 1,559, which provides 24GB of data. After July 3, this plan will cost Rs 1,899. If you recharge now, it will save you Rs 340.

Airtel: Airtel's Rs 2,999 plan is valid for 365 days and will offer 2GB of daily data, which will grow up to Rs 3,599 post-July 3. Pre-purchasing this plan could help you save Rs 600.

1. Act quickly: You need to make a decision faster if you want to pay for an annual plan before the price hike deadline (July 3).
