iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO 12 in India, setting the stage for the country's first smartphone featuring the newly unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This much-anticipated series is set to debut in China on November 7, with a global release expected in the following weeks. Although the iQoo 12 series consists of two models, namely the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro, only the standard iQOO 12 is anticipated for the Indian market.

The standout feature of the iQOO 12 is its power source: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, freshly announced and set to provide an array of enhancements. Notably, this smartphone is said to incorporate a dedicated display processor, facilitating hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

Partnership with BMW M Motorsport
iQoo has been engaged in a collaborative effort with BMW M Motorsport for some years, and this partnership will continue with the iQOO 12. Notably, there will be a special "Legend Edition Inspired by BMW M Motorsport," featuring exclusive themes and the iconic BMW M stripes adorning the device's rear.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Unveiled
The Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023 marked Qualcomm's unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a flagship Mobile Platform with a slew of advancements. The chipset boasts a new Kryo CPU configuration with five gold cores and a 1-5-2 microarchitecture, translating to a substantial 30% boost in performance and a commendable 20% improvement in power efficiency. The Adreno GPU complements these enhancements with 25% better performance and power efficiency, while offering a remarkable 40% upgrade in Ray Tracing capabilities.
