Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India. The upcoming smartphone will be known as CMF Phone 1. While the company has confirmed that it will launch a new smartphone under its sub-brand it is yet to reveal its key specifications. However, a new leak by a tipster suggests key information about its specifications and design.
CMF Phone 1 specifications (expected)
Tipster, Gadget Bits, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), claims that the CMF Phone 1 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. This octa-core chipset has four cores clocked at 2.5GHz and another four clocked at 2.0GHz. According to the tipster, the CMF Phone 1 may also have a MicroSD card slot.
Additionally, the tipster shared a concept image of the smartphone, created by user Rahul Janardhanan, which shows a dual rear camera system vertically aligned, similar to the Nothing Phone 2.
The CMF Phone 1 is expected to have a design similar to the CMF Buds, but it may not have the typical semi-transparent design that is usually associated with the brand. The image of the phone shows a screw-like element next to the power button, but it's uncertain if the phone will have a removable back panel.
According to a leak by tipster Technerd_9, the CMF Phone 1 will come with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and thick bezels. It's rumoured to have a polycarbonate back panel and could be available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants with UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone may be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for up to 33W wired fast charging. Additionally, the dual-camera setup on the back is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, while the front camera may be a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
