YouTube, the Google-owned streaming platform is now offering its music streaming service for free on Google Home and other Assistant powered smart speakers. James Goddard, Software Engineer for YouTube Music, wrote in a blog post on Thursday, "With YouTube Music and Google Home, you can ask Google Home to play the right music for any moment or mood and YouTube Music will play the perfect station".

Other than the free 30-day trial period, YouTube Premium subscribers will be allowed to request specific albums, artists, songs and playlist on-demand along with other player controls that include unlimited skips and song replay.
In the international markets, YouTube Music's Premium pack costs $9.99 a month and to take on other music players in India, YouTube has launched the service in India at Rs 99 a month.
The free, ad-supported YouTube Music is available on smart speakers in the US, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Ireland, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Japan and the Netherlands.
The feature will be rolling out in more countries in coming time.
